MY SERMON TO WRITERS

One of the major killers of Nigerian Authors is SELF-PROMOTION. Yes! Self-Promotion.
Truly self promotion is a must for writers of poems, articles books and so on. It is a good thing ever penning confrere should do.
However, it becomes the opposite of good WHEN you begin to see other writers as rivals. If you are truly passionate about the writing art for impact, then you should be passionate enough to promote other good writers you encounter online or offline. As for the budding writers which some call 'bad', don't kill him/her with criticism (though. He/she needs it). Pass your criticism to him or her as correction in love (also not publicly so as not to hurt his/her pride)
In a nutshell, if you call yourself a poet, a speaker, an author, and so on without been passionate about the progress of your fellows and budding writers, I call you a failure even if you're a best seller of millions of copy, even if you've won a thousand awards...

Apology to any who do get my message above.
My words above are strictly for the wise.

Speakin Pen International Anthology "We Cry for Peace"

We Cry for Peace

Edited by Abegunde Sunday Olaoluwa
Edition: 1 in the Swords of Words series
a COLLECTION OF ZEALOUS POETS WORLDWIDE

Peace is beyond a want the world longs for.
It is a serious need all sane being crave for.
With tears of the pen we hound
In search for cure to our land's ailing peace

Peace is beyond an abstract assertion or an imaginary utopia people talk about. Peace is real. Peace can really be seen and felt in our society and in our personal lives.

This book is an assemblage of the voices of dexterous poets from different parts of the globe penning a poetic report of the threat to peace both personal peace and national peace. The league of poets suggests solutions.

If our world today is howling for peace, to whom does the world cry? Is it to God? Is it to Motherland? Is it to Government? Or is it to the generality of the people?

This magnum opus also provides answers poetically to the questions:

What is peace?
What makes our peace?
How can we find peace? and lot more
